Mark is a Chartered Chemist and Scientist (CChem, CSci), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), European Registered Toxicologist (ERT), Member of the British Toxicology Society (MBTS) and Society of Cosmetic Scientists (MSCS). Mark founded ADSL in 2008 as a consultancy company and focused on extensive research into the toxicological aspects of ingredient technology in skincare.
A hands-on individual in the cosmetics and personal care sector for over 27 years and is an expert himself in formulating, regulatory & compliance and user & clinical evaluations. Mark loves seeing customers and solving the day to day challenges that running a business throws up - including resource, supply, customer chains and financial management to enable projects to progress and meet launches.
An experienced entrepreneur and investor who knows his way around a business plan and financials. He has invested in many brands including beverages, food and fitness, suncare, fire safety and security, sustainability projects and new ingredients such as cannabinoids. He is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and enjoys helping his local community including children's charities. Father of three daughters, he enjoys spending time with them and his wife. Frequently indulges in sporting activities including football, squash, cycling and gym work.
Fun fact: Mark once, on a business trip in Hong Kong, ended up in a bar with seven former Liverpool (who he supports) Football Players and played with them in a seven-a-side match!
